Classic Rock: Meat Loaf Unveils Cool New Album
Brian May and Steve Vai can be heard on Love Is Not Real and Song Of Madness, while Jack Black duets with Meat Loaf on Like A Rose. Justin Hawkins wrote two of the album’s songs, the aforementioned Love Is Not Real, plus California Isn’t Big Enough, also adding background vocals and guitar to former.
But the most unusual cameo is from former Blackadder/Jeeves And Wooster comedian Hugh Laurie, now a star of the US TV series House, who contributes a piano solo to the song ‘f I Can’t Have You. Meat encountered Laurie, a classically trained musician, whilst making an appearance in House.

Zoe Griffin - Meat Loaf's New Album
My favourite track of the album was California Isn’t Big Enough, a song co-written by Justin Hawkins of The Darkness fame. I felt this tune perfectly combined the soulful music and mischievous lyrics that Meat Loaf will always be remembered for.
As the album playback finished, Meat thanked the audience for coming, he was visibly moved by the album and wiped away tears from his eyes, having heard Be Cool Teddy Bear, I believe Meat Loaf has an awful lot to be happy about with this album, as it is fantastic.

Shaun White dishes on his Olympic playlist
"I love playing the Darkness [on guitar]," Shaun White tells Spinner. White is fresh off a win at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where he made quick work of the Men's Halfpipe on Wednesday, marking his second consecutive Gold in the event. "That song, 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' ... it's the only song I've taken the time to go through," he explains. "That's my go-to jam."

Caught Live: Hole @ Sheperds Bush Empire, London
"Returning with Hole to play her first UK gig in ten years, Kurt Cobain's missus (it does still matter) looked like a ballerina let loose on a dressing up box.
Celeb supporters including JAMES BLUNT, JUSTIN HAWKINS, KATE NASH and NOEL FIELDING clearly thought so too."
